Virtually from the doorstep, visitors can take a river trip or hire a boat to explore for themselves the tranquil waterways or just simply enjoy watching the waterbourne world go by from one of Wroxham’s many riverside pubs and restaurants. Among the many delights nearby are Bewilderwood (Norfolk’s latest tree house attraction), glorious beaches at Sea Palling and Waxham (8 miles) and the National Trust’s Blickling Hall, a venue for many concerts. Norwich, with its cathedral, castle, great shopping and city amenities, is an easy drive. Pub and shop 500 yards.

The location of Thistledew Cottage was very central and in easy reach of shops and local amenities (5 minute walk). Thistledew Cottage is in a very secluded area with a very secure and secluded patio area to the rear. The cottage was very spacious clean and was just like going "home from home" the tv's in each bedroom was a bonus, well fitted out and plenty of storage in both bedrooms. The welcome pack was a bonus and was very much welcomed as we arrived later than expected, so we didn t have to find shops etc to purchased tea coffee sugar or milk. Would recommend to anyone who wants a nice relaxing holiday by the Norfolk Broads, you can even hire a boat out for the day just as we did.

Wroxham is a village in Norfolk, England. It is situated in the Norfolk Broads not far from Hoveton, Salhouse, Tunstead, Coltishall, Great Plumstead, and Horning and is one of almost 250 towns and villages in Norfolk in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The closest official cities are Norwich (population 174,047), Ely (population 13,954), and Canterbury (which has a population of 43,552 according to the 2001 Census).
Because of its central location within the Norfolk Broads Wroxham is often referred to as the 'Capital of the Broads', and as such it is an excellent place to base a holiday here with much to see and explore in the surrounding area.
